Important Installation Notes:

Depending on the make, model and year of your vehicle, the iSimple GateWay HD may require an antenna adaptor or adaptor kit for installation. To determine if you will need an antenna adaptor, ask your sales representative or call iSimple tech support at 866-788-4237. Antenna adaptors are available at most car audio and electronics retailers.

When adding the GateWay HD to a vehicle with rear seat entertainment, an antenna splitter may be required to retain function of the rear seat AM/FM.

Toyota, Scion and Lexus vehicles with a diversity antenna will need a small modification to the radio main power harness in order for the GateWay HD to work correctly.

The iSimple SoundByte iPod integration kit is only compatible with Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep factory-installed RAK, REC or RAQ radios.
 
The kit includes an auxiliary RCA audio input for use with a multitude of portable devices. To convert to a 3.5mm (headphone style) input, use an iSimple IS923 PhonoWire (sold swparately).
 
When using the SoundByte X with an iPhone you will receive a warning message asking if you wish to put your iPhone in Airplane Mode. Simply respond "no" and you will be able to continue using your iPhone as normal.

Compatibility Note:

The iSimple GateWay HD is not compatible with:

• GM vehicles equipped with a "Monsoon" stereo system
• 2006-2008 LX or DX Honda Civic models
• Honda or Acura vehicles featuring XM NAV-Traffic radios
• 2009 Toyota, Scion or Lexus vehicles that have an "XM" logo printed on the face of the radio
• Scion vehicles equipped with the factory-installed Pioneer radio featuring an OEL display
• 2008 Nissan Pathfinder and Armada models equipped with factory-installed navigation
• 2007-2009 Nissan Altima models equipped with factory-installed navigation
• 2009 Nissan Maxima models equipped with factory-installed navigation

Firmware Notes:

If you are installing the iSimple GateWay HD into a 2009 Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicle equipped with an internal satellite radio tuner you MUST update the module with the latest firmware.

Media Player Compatibility:

This product does not support battery charging for any portable media devices in its current configuration. An ISPDC11 or ISPDC21 docking cable may be installed to provide iPod/iPhone playback and battery charging.
